Bridal Lookbook

Fluid fabric and velvety petals

Local Toronto designers and creatives collaborated to bring to life the latest wedding looks of the season. This project was a mix of digital photography by Corynn Fowler and video captured by Jessica Charuk. The goal of creating a "moving look book" was to set an atmospheric yet romantic mood while also capturing the soft texture and movement of the gowns.

Gretchen is a wedding hairstylist with a bohemian flair. She wanted potential clients to come to her because she was an expert in her niche and knew she could pull off the perfect effortless yet elegant hairstyle. Bringing peace through the written word

Melissa Chan, the calligrapher of Olive Branch & Co., described her brand as organic, thoughtful and poetic. Together we worked to translate those feelings through her brand imagery. The colour palette was kept soft and muted, and a beautiful light-filled loft was chosen as our photo shoot location. A large focus was put on documenting Melissa's creative process and elegant handwriting to show a more personal side in her marketing.

Bayard Gâteaux

One-of-a-kind decadent desserts

Frenie is the owner and baker behind Bayard Gâteaux. She wanted her customers to see a peak behind her creative process and understand the love and detail that goes into every order. The goal with her brand photo shoot was to showcase her use of texture, rich colours and fresh ingredients when decorating her cakes.

Pâtisserie petit Lapin

A sweet, guilt-free indulgence

This brand photo shoot was commissioned by an allergy free bakery located in the heart of Westmount, Montreal. After the owner and I discussed her bakery's aesthetic we decided on a fresh and feminine approach to the brand photography. Marble countertop and soft florals were used to complement the pretty pastel icing on the desserts, and a balance of styled product photographs as well as the owner decorating the desserts were captured.

linen chest

Effortless entertaining and inspired living

For over 50 years Linen Chest has been the destination for Canadians to shop for quality home products. Charuk Studios created lifestyle imagery for the company's blog, LC Living, to inspire customers to incorporate these products in their own lives. Bath, kitchen and decor items were styled and photographed in real life settings covering topics such as recipes, entertaining, gift giving and pampering.

Maddy K

A luxury event brand with an infectious personality

Madeleine Kojakian is the event planner and creative director behind the luxury event brand, Maddy K. Her style is bright, feminine and sophisticated which we wanted to translate through the event styling and photography. Putting a face to her brand name was the goal as well as having Maddy's bubbly personality shine.

Expressing individuality through style

Jessica has photographed and assisted with the creative direction for numerous fashion photo shoots. Though every brand and blogger has their unique aesthetic, the common theme among all these projects is the soft natural light, feminine styling and lifestyle approach to the locations and posing. The goal with any fashion photoshoot is to showcase the clothing in a relatable yet aspirational manner.
